Being raised by a mother that suffered from both Lung and Breast Cancer for years, I learned compassion. I also raised a challenged son, who suffered intellectually and physically, so my sensitivity grew along with my sympathy and empathy towards people who required special assistance. I adopted the name, Ms. De, while providing Respite Care (temporary institutional care of a dependent elderly, ill, or handicapped person, providing relief for their usual caregivers) for over 13 years. I also worked in the field of Social Services and served parents raising individuals that were challenged intellectually and physically while I lived in the state of Washington for almost 2 decades. I obtained my Foster Care License and provided a bed for children (at that time) who were waiting for permanent placements. While earning my degree in Theology (5/28/2017), I realized that my calling was being shaped and developed throughout my life.
